Spring YDP Timeline

Johnny Castillo’s GU16 team from Region 908 – South El Monte came in first place in Area 1C playoffs, went to Section 1 Playofs in Chino and again took First place. Congratulations girls. They have applied are hoping to get a slot at the National games .

Congratualtions to all those teams that made it to the playoffs. It was a great weekend, so thanks to all those host regions, I appreciate how much work it is.

Here are the results:  The stars denotes which teams go on to Section One playoffs in Riverside, February 25 & 26, 2012.

Every coach can learn from this. he is some coaching tips, when your team is up 6-0, how do you coach your team without embarassing the other team. Hope you watch it.

Weather: If it is raining and nothing is posted on this website, you need to plan on turning up to your game.

All teams are required to have player and coach IDs, if you are a referee, please collect player and coach IDs before the game and return at the end of the game.

All please read our Area policy on zero tolerance for referee abuse, it will not be tolerated, so please sit back, relax and let the kids have fun. Don’t embarrass them.

I am not sure what every-one’s understanding is about Zero tolerance. So here it is…..

Zero tolerance is what it says and Area C is making a stand and will be holding all accountable.

We have to stop the abuse of our Referee’s and it has to stop now, our referees are volunteers, just like everyone else and they are a dying breed because they are tired of giving of their time to be yelled at by coaches, players and parents. They give of their time so our youth can get up off the couch, away from the TV to play a game they enjoy, so why as parents and coaches can we not allow them to do that. Soccer is a great game and we, the adults spoil it for our children. We are becoming the FUN suckers.

So I am letting our referees know that any harassing comments from coaches and parents they are to be kicked out of the game and in accordance of our rules, No coach would mean GAME OVER. This is your choice!!!!!

If we fail to grasp this concept, your team will be terminated for the rest of the season and you will forfeit your right to coach or participate in Area C play for future seasons.
